I was brought up by Christian parents and decided to follow Jesus at the age of 18. I am married to Andrew and I have 3 grown up daughters and 6 grandchildren. I am an HR Officer for a local firm. Family and work seem to take up most of my time but I enjoy going out to different restaurants and the cinema.
I am a sixth generation Christian who discovered Jesus for herself in her late teens. Married to Michael for 60 years, my time is spent looking after him, having coffee with friends, attending U3A, enjoying Monday mornings with neighbours, and booking speakers and worship leaders for our church. My interests are varied: from Pingu to cricket!! Life is still exciting though often challenging. I am so grateful to Christian friends who are walking this walk with me.
I was born in London in 1931, spending most of the war in Tiverton, Devon, before returning to London in 1945. A few years later, I served 2 years in the Royal Navy as my national service. I joined the local church youth club where I both became a Christian and was baptised and met my future wife June. My working life included an engineering apprenticeship and becoming a design/draughtsman. I later became a senior design engineer, especially for communication equipment which necessitated organising the erection of masts on hills throughout England.
After my family, my main interest is aeronautical and a highlight of my life was being flown in a small plane in Uganda by a Missionary Aviation Fellowship pilot.
I have been a Christian since my teenage years, and have been married to John for 50 years. I love gardening, including a shared allotment with my sister; I am creative and an a watercolour artist. I am treasurer to our church.
I became a Christian in the mid 1990s and have been a volunteer sailing instructor for Fellowship Afloat Christian Activity Centre in Tollesbury for considerably longer. I love walking with and without our dog. I am active in our local village community and find it easy to chat to others.
